Penfield Tate’s III passion for public service began with the Five Points Community Center board in one of Denver’s historic neighborhoods. His early legal career centered on civil rights. His public service includes the Federal Trade Commission, administrations of former Denver Mayor Federico Peña and Governor Roy Romer and six years in the Colorado House and Senate. Penfield’s legal practice in public finance has left his fingerprint on major infrastructure projects from Union Station to Denver International Airport. He has served on numerous boards from the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority to the Denver Water Board.
